LONDON, 25th September. - Seventeen thousand Cretans on Sunday entered Kanea, < the capital of Crete, without opposition, took possession of the public' buildings, and displaced the authorities.

The Daily Chronicle's correspondent at Athens states - that. there are now thirty thousand Cretans under arms in* the island, which is in their completo possession. Only eleven men remain *in the Royal Cretan bodyguard. *
