SIGNS OF ENEMY'S NERVOUSNESS
RUMANIA AND TRANSYLVANIA
THIRD OF TERRITORY OCCUPIED
FHE ZEPPELIN RAID ON ENGLAND
V France has taken measures to ensure an increased out-
put of munitions during tlie winter months, and already 300,000 women have been engaged to.carry out the French War Minister's scheme, which, he declares, is a gigantic one. The constant increase of heavy artillery for the
'Allies is guaranteed. At present the battle omens are
good. On the Somme front the enemy has withdrawn his "■ guns .to their extreme limit of fire, and there are other signs of his extreme nervousness of mind. In the Dobrudja the Servians have inflicted severe losses on the Bulgars, and the Russians have brought up large reserves. The Rumanians are said to be in possession of a third of ' Transylvania, And bs*** a recent capture are enabled to greatly shorten their front in this theatre. On the Macedonian battlefield the Allies have crossed. the Struma at several places, and the Servians have made further progress at Kaimakalan, though opposed by a strong Bulgar force. In-- Greece the revolutionary movement is spreading.
