CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Amberley races are being held to-day in fine weather. There is a- good attendance. Following are the results: —
Jumpers' Flat, of 100 soys; one mile and a-quarter.—Crib, 10.13, 1; Sport, 9.0, 2; British Rose, 9.5, 3. Won by three lengths. Time 2min 14sec.
Trial Plate, of 100 soys; five furlongs: weight 9.o.—Fabriquette 1, 'Golden Prince 2, Henriette 3. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 3sec.
A good day's sport is promised at Levin on Thursday, when tho Horowhenua Races will be held. Holiday excursion tickets will be available for the railways.
