GREEK DUPLICITY

LARGE OIL DEPOT DISCOVERED.

(Received September 25, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, 24th September. Salonika reports the discovery in the iEgean Sea of a large oil depot.- War vessels encountered a tube connecting with an underground cement-lined chamber, containing an enormous quantity of oil.

It is alleged that the constructors were Greek merchants in Piraeus, who recently have grown wealthy from unknown sources.
