STUBBORN FIGHTING
ON RUSSIA'S SOUTHERN FRONT
FROM SUMMIT OF MOUNT CIMONE.
(Received September 25, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, 24th September. A Russian communique states: There is stubborn fighting from the Pripet River to the Rumanian 'frontier.. The enemy on Saturday strongly resisted our advance at the tipper Sereth. We repelled all counter-attacks. Our Caucasus detachments have advanced southward of Elleu.
