SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
There was a very good attendance at Mr. Gill's lecture to teacher's 'on Sat_ur r d_y ''eve_.ing "in the Petone Presbytferian Chhrch. Mr. Gill showed how 'the teachers could secure the interest bf'the scholars in the Sunday school lesson, and made his lecture and answers to questions very interesting.. The president, Mr. Alexander , Johnston, announced that a teachers' "social" would'shortly be held in,the city, and gave a hearty invitation ''to the suburban .friends to come in-and test the- hospitality of the union. THere have been feiglit lectures at Petone 'and: the- Hiftt, and 'all -have been well, attended and keen, .'interest shown by the -teachers -of the nine schools in the district. , '
