TIMARU, 29th August. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-op. Association balance-sheet shows a net profit of £22,649, a decrease on last year, but allowing for £5000 cash discounts under the new system the comparison ;s £28,119 against £33,486. The difference) is largely due to losses on wheat through restrictions on export, the large increase iv income tax, extra cost of labour, avA the payment of .wages to employees who have enlisted.
