MIRAMAR AFFAIRS
Last night's meeting of the Mira-mar Borough Council was presided over by the Mayor (Mr F. Townsend). Others present were : Councillors Tracey, Hawthorne. Pollock. Underwood, and Telford.
The statement of accounts showed that there was a credit balance in the bank of £218 16s sd. Expenditure passed for payment amounted tv £365 13s 6d. No. 2 Account showed a bank debit balance of £1669 14s lOd, and expenses amounting to £73 2s 6d the council passed for payment.
Messrs. J. J. Niven and Co. reported that work on a Diesel engine belonging lo the council was 'Hearing completion. A free pass on the trams was granted to the office staff for use during office hours.
