LONDON, 16th August. Lord Northcliffe writes: "The only day of fighting in the Alps is when, after months of tunnelling and drilling, thirty tons of dynamite blows off the top of a mountain. Three Austrian strongholds have thus been destroyed. Each Italian gun position requires three months of cutting of galleries and catacombs.
