PRISONERS OF THE FRENCH
A WEEK'S CAPTURES.
(ADSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.)
PARIS, 14th August. Trustworthy advices state that the French have taken two thousand' unwounded prisoners and seventy machineguns since 6th August, northward of the Somme, principally in the advance which culminated in the seizure of upwards of half of ivlaurepas.. They also took prisoner six hundred of the enemy in 'the Vaux Chapitre and the Chenois Woods.
