SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

Mrs. J. Lewis was the hostess at the Sailors' Friend Society lust evening, and the concert given was very successful. Every sailor was presented with a- buttonhole by the Misses ICreeft and Mo'rrah, who carry out this work weekly. Mr. lioore, missioner, who presided, spoke on "Xotes from my Waistcoat Pocket" in relation to temperance. As usual, several pledges were taken. Those who added to the evening's enjoyment were:—Mrs. J. Lewis, the Misses Makin, Mavis King, Theil, L. Weston, and Messrs. Hex, Robertaon (R.M.S. Corinthicjj and Roes.
