FAIR TO CLOUDY WEATHER
Yesterday was bright and sunny in Wellington, but to-day the sunshine is spasmodic, and at time 3 this morning conditions looked somewhat threatening. No rain has fallen in the city to-day, though it is interesting to note that, at Cape PaJliser on the one side and at Forton on the other, drizzling rain was reported at 9 o'clock this morning. Atmospheric pressure has increased, especially in the north, o.nd moderate to strong south-westerly winds have predominated. Showers have fallen, in various parts of the country, and cold a.nd changeable conditions have Tuled. There is a disturbance to the westward, but the Meteorological Offico expects the weather to remain fair to cloudy for another day at least. The winds will probably change from 6outh by west to north, and the barometer, which is at present unsteady, is likely to faJl in the south shortly.
