Tite principal Kugby niafch &l Athletic Park was bet-ween Oriental and University, and was one of ' the best games seen this season. T!ie Oriental team v/as well-balanced' ancl well-train-ed, with backs especially clever. University was lighter in the forwards, but every nian- was a trier. The backs were very plucky and; resourceful in defence. Id attack also they were clever. Oriental secured two tries, scored by Pratt, but neither was converted. In the last quarter of an hour University, after many attempts, scored, Sullivan touching down. Russell converted the try, but there was no time to farther alter the score, and the match ended: Oriental 6, University 5. There was scarcely a dull moment in the whole ga-me.

The military gamo at the Park was rough and ready, very willing, bnfc not highly scientific. C Company, 16ths (Feathsrston) eventually defeated H Company, IBths (Trent-ham) by 14 to 5.
