DUNEDIN, 25th June.

James Patrick Banning, employed on the steamer Earnslaw, was drowned at Frankton Wharf at 5.30 a.m. on Saturday. He fell into the water while ihe steamer wa-s discharging at the wharf. The body was recovered about 15 minutes later. Deceased leaves a widow and three young children.
