THE APPLE FAIR
-". TKexe was a good attendance at the 'Apple .Fair at the Town Hall yesterday, and considerable business was done. The Judges awarded; the provincial exhibits sis follow:—Nelson, 1; Hawkes Bay, 2; Canterbury (best decorated effect), 3; Otago, 4; Port Albert (Auckland), 5. The Por.t Albert exhibit was hardly intended for competition owing to the close of the apple season in Auckland. The show will,be continued all this ■week, and. purchases will be taken away after it closes on Saturday.
