FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS
HANMER SANATORIUM TO BE OPENED SHORTLY.
The Hon. G. W. Russell told a reporter yesterday that the new sanatorium at Hanmer for returned wounded and .invalided soldiers was so far advanced that it would be ready to receive the furniture next week. He expected that the institution would be ready for opening in about four or five we«ks from to-day. There would be no delay, and as soon as the sanatorium was ready for occupation it would be opened. The name of the institution would not be announced until the opening ceremony.
The sanatorium has been erected on the same lines as the King George V. institution at Rotorua-, which is already' doing invaluable service in connection, with the men who have been invalided from the' front.
