TRENCHES NEAR HAUCOURT
STORMED.
(Received May 10, 1.30 p.m.)
AMSTERDAM, 9th May. A German communique states : —We stormed several trenches south of Haucourt. We repulsed the French attempts to regain the trenches on Hill 304, and also attacks in the vicinity of Thiaumont, inflicting heavy losses. We captured nine machine guns.
