NATIONAL RESERVE
Last evening's parade of the Brooklyn unit of the National Reserve, held at the State School grounds) was only moderately attended. Lieutenant W. A. Ramsay was the officer in command. Extended order drill with rifle exercises took up the best part of an hour, and this small but efiicient squad, largely composed of enthusiasts, performed ■■■ the work assigned them in a creditable manner. A meeting was afterwards held, and various matters discussed affecting the unit. A committee was set up to arrange another "social" at a date to be fixed afterwards, when the prizes and trophies won at the rifle competitions now going on trill be presented. Interest in shooting matters has not abated, as tho numbers present at the rifle-range nightly show. Matches are being arranged with other clubs, to come off shortly, and not the least interesting is a friendly competition between the Brooklyn unit »n<i tbs lacnj soniw CtttleU.
