N.Z. NURSES IN EGYPT.

NO MORE REQUIRED AT PRESENT.

Information has been received by the Minister of Public Health, Hon. G. W Russell, through the Defence Department, that there are 335 nurses on the books of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces, of whom 201 are now being paid by the New Zealand Defence Department in Egypt. Of these, only 91 are employed in the New Zealand establishments. It is suggested by General Sir Alexander Godley that .no additional nurses should be sent to Egypt at present.
