15th REINFORCEMENTS.
Notwithstanding that they were required in camp complete three weeks ago, the ISth Reinforcements are still 266 men short. The shortages for the various districts, which are wholly confined to the Infantry, are as under :— Auckland ... ... 3 Wellington 144 Canterbury ... ... 77 Otago „. ... ... 42 Total 266 ' As it is urgently necessary that the numbers should be made up forthwith, it is hoped' that the various districts will take immediate steps to make good their deficiencies. Of the above shortage, Wellington City is responsible fo^ 14. LATEST RECRUITS. Following are the names of additional recruits registered in. No. 5 Group who have been passed as medically fit: — Tegner, A, A.8., sergt.-major, N.Z. Staff (infantry) Francis, James Ernest, sergt-major, N.Z.
