CHINESE TRANSPORT SUNK
NEARLY 1000 MEN DROWNED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received April 25, 8.20 a.m.) SHANGHAI, 24th April. The cruiser Hai-Yung, in a fog, collided with and sank the transport Hsin-Yu, southward of -Chusan. Of a thousand soldiers and crew on board thirty were saved.
