HOMES FOR ORPHANS

HASTINGS, This Day. Staff Capt. Sharp collected £1270 in Waipa.wa district last week for Commissioner Hodder's Homes in New Zealand for children who have been made orphans by the war. This brings the Hawkes Bay:contributions to £3494, exclusive of Nripier, which has yet to be canvassed. The Waipawa total includes £500 from .Mr. Paul Hunter, which meets the.cost of a ward in one home.
