He told a Socialist non-commissioned officer that the Socialists had saved Germany, and reminded Herr Scbeidemann that he never opposed Marxian economics. The Kaiser added : "Now that the Socialists are upholding patriotism, order,- and discipline, the gulf between us is narrow. Germany is the leading Socialist State." ■ • .
