OSTENTATIOUS INTEREST IN SOCIALISTS
' (Received April 24, 8 a.m.) \ STOCKHOLM, 23rd April. 1 The' Kaiser, for reasons of astute politics, or foreseeing an inevitable social and democratic postwar wave, ostentatiously manifests interest in. Socialists. The congratulates them and decorates them for acts of courage a-t ihe front. He told a Socialist non-commissioned officer that the Socialists had saved Germany, and reminded Herr Scbeidemann that he never opposed Marxian economics. The Kaiser added : "Now that the Socialists are upholding patriotism, order,- and discipline, the gulf between us is narrow. Germany is the leading Socialist State." ■ • .
