DOCTORS AND FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

It is reported that no settlement was arrived at in connection with the conference held yesterday afternoon between representatives of the medical fraternity and the friendly societies. The Hon. G. W. Russell presided, and proceedings lasted for three hours. The chief point in dispute is the question of fees, the doctors demanding, a considerable increase on the present rates.
