Excellent weather conditions were experienced by the cargo steamer Kurow during her vovage from San Francisco direct. The vessel arrived in port shortly before 0 o'clock this morning, and after pratique had been granted she berthed at Taranaki-street Wharf. San .Francisco was left on the 2tith March, and, with the exception of a "blow" ofF East Cape, the vuyage was a smooth and uneventful one. Tha Furow's cargo totals over 4000 tons, inclodltg over 300 motor-c.trs. Captain Thompson, who is still in command of (lie Kurow, has with him the following ofSccrs:—Chief, Mr. D. KOKIRI ARRIVES UNEXPECTEDLY

Shortly after 1 o'clock this afternoon word was received in town that the Union Gniopany's steamer Kokiri (formerly a unit of the Jlaorilanil Company's fleet) was coming through 'the Heads, bound from Etlitliburg (South Australia). The Kokiri has been absent from this port for a considerable time

CUMBERLAND DUE TO-MORROW

It is anticipated that the liner Cumberland will get away from Napier at i; o'clock this evening for Wellington iu continuation of her voyage from Liverpool. The new vessel has already a good record for speed, and should thus reach Wellington to-morrow afternoon
