LADIES' HOCKEY

ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

There was a satisfactory attendance at the annual meeting of the Wellington Ladies' Hockey Association held last evening. Mr. J. C. Cusack presWed. The question of awakening interest in hockey in the public schools was discussed, and it was resolved to write to all the schools with the object of obtaining more entries for the competition, Miss D.- Tinney, who has taken an active interest in ladies' hockey for many years, tendered her resignation of the position as secretary. Miss Tinney was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for her valuable services to the association. A similar compliment was paid Mr. A. A. Bennett, late chairman, who is now resident in. New Plymouth. The election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Mr. J. C. Cusack ; vice-presidents, Miss 'Coates, Miss M'Lean, Miss Neumann, Mr. A. A Bennett, Mr. J. P. Luke, the Hon. A. L. Herdman, the Rev. Stephenson, and Mr. J. Fuller, jun.; secretary, Miss Mander; treasurer, Miss Gallagher; management committee, Miss Simons, Miss M'Kenzie, Miss Watt, Miss Manghan, and Miss Shivnan ; auditors, ' Messrs. Kean and Salek ; selectors,- Messrs. Cusack, Smith, and Kean; delegate to the N.Z. Ladies' Hockey Association, Miss Simons.
