He had four bullet wound in the head, and there were bloodstains on. various parts of the car, which was sent from Melbourne in response to a telephone message; the caller giving the name of Lestrange. An hour after the departure of the car it was discovered standing on the road, and Haines dead. The police ascertained that there was nc> one of the name of Lestrange at the address given. After a long search the police arrested Williamson and Taylor, who, it was alleged, had been picked up by the car.]
