EXCHANGE OF PRISONERS
The question of the exchange of British and Turkish prisoners is dealt with i« correspondence between the respective Governments of the countries, a copy of which correspondence has just been received by the Minister of Defence. The British proposal is that the exchange shall bo on a numerical basis—officers for officers and men for men. If this proposal is 'agreed to by the Turkish authorities, it would mean that, all British prisoners in Turkoy would be released, because the number of Turkish prisoners taken by Britain largely exceeds the number of British prisoners held by the Turks,
