GREATER LOSSES IN MEDITERRANEAN. The Times, naval correspondent says: "This month the average number of submarine losses works out at about two ships daily, less than one occurring in home waters, and something over one occurring- in the Mediterranean. Manifestly, the Germans do not have to return to their l-ome ports to replenish ammunition, and petrol. It will tax the ingenuity of our seamen to counteract this new campaign."
