SYDNEY, This Day. Professor H. E. Gregory, geologist at Yale University, has concluded a tourfo tlie^mining centres. He is of opinion that too much time* is devoted to mm. ing. He states that the country is in urgent need of men for the scientific investigation of- the water supply and the rains, which will give infinitely better returns than mining. '
