EASTER HOLIDAYS

On Good Friday, the 21st April, the Postal Department will he closed in all its branches. Mails for despatch by steamers will close at 8 p.m. on the previous evening, and the only despatches of correspondence by trains will close ou Rood Friday, us follows:—For the Wairarapa, Hawkes Kay, Manawatu. Kangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki Districts at 5.45 a.m.; for Auckland and Auckland District at 8 a.m. The City and suburban receivers will not be cleared during the day, but the midnight clearances will be mii.de as usual. There will not be any deliveries by letter-carriers on Good Friday, but on Thursday, the 20th April, the Carriers' Department (upstairs from Feather-ston-street) will be open for the delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the'city and suburbs from Bto 9 p.m.; also the public counter for the delivery of correspondence addressed to the Tost ODice will be open from S to 9 p.m. The parcels delivery counter will be open, from 8 to 9 p.m.

On Easter Monday, the 24th April, the Chief Post Office will be open in all its branches (except Money Order,and Savings Bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mails for despatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m., and the only "despatclie:* of correspondence by trains will close as follows:—For the Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Rangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki Districts, at 5.45 a.m.; for Auckland and Auckland District, at.B a.m. There will be no delivery of correspondence by letter-carriers in the city or suburbs, but on Saturday, tlie 22nd April, the letter-carriers will make a full delivery in the city and suburbs in the afternoon, ' for which correspondence must be posted at the Chief Post Office by 1.40 p.m. The Lettercarriers' Department (upstairs from Featber-ston-street) will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. on Saturday for the delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs. The public delivery counter will be open from S to 9 p.m. for the delivery of correspondence addressed to the Tost Oflice, and the Parcels Delivery Counter will also be open from 8 to 9 p.m. On Easter Monday city and suburban receivers will not be cleared (luring the day, but night clearances will be made as usual.
