KILBIRNIE

The following committee was elected at Kilbirnie : —Messrs. A. G. Jorgensen (chairman), Stoupe (secretary), C. Worth, A. Bnckmaster, A. Rose, A. G. Wallace, J. Cheeseman. The headmaster reported that the average roll was 392, and the average attendance 357. The boys won the Senior B football championship. In swimming, nine boys ■gained life-saving certificates, and forty other certificates were gained by scholars for three thousand yards down to one hundred yards. The Roll of Honour showed that sixty-five Old Boys had gone to the front, three of whom had lost their lives (Major Richard Price and Ptes. John Keasbery and Edward Fisher). The children had .collected £212) during the year for the Wounded Soldiers Fund.
