NORTHLAND

The following were declared elected at Northland :—Messrs. A. Paterson (chairman), C. Burkett (secretary), M. Walsh, and F. Winchcombe. Three other members are required. The meeting instructed the incoming committee to have a suitable honours board erected in the school. A vote of thanks was accorded the Education Boai'd for its work in connection with the improvement of the school grounds. In connection with tho recent remarks of the Minister of Education in regard to the adoption of some better system of dealing with school sites and affording some relief in cases where limited space bad resulted in congested playing areas, the meeting decided to bring under tho Minister's notice the fact that in the Northland district there was certain ground which, could bo adapted for school purposes.
