TERRACE SCHOOL
About twenty-five householders were present at the Terrace School, when Mr. J. A. Thomson occupied the chair. The Chairman, in moving tho adoption of the report, said he thought it would be. a good thing if the Education Board approached the Government and' asked that the attendances during that portion of the year affected by the outbreak of infantile paralysis should be eliminated in the calculations affecting tho capitation grants. In Auckland the schools were closed on account of the epidemic. The following committee was elected :— Mr. J. Darling (22 votes), Mr. 11. A. Gold (22), Mr. H. W. Lloyd (22), Mr. D. F. Skinner (20), Miss England (19), Mr. A. Johnston (19), Mr. J. A. Thomson (19), Mrs. Dyson (18), Rev. H. Van'Staveren (17). The only other candidate was Mrs. Snow
