ON bohalf of tho Mayor's Patriotic Committee I desire to express my sincere thanks for, and appreciation of, tho splendid services rendered by all thoso who took part in tho Reception to tho Wounded and Invalided Soldiers \ylio returned by the Hospital. Ship Maheno and s.s. Turakina; to the citizens for their display of Bunting, and their enthusiastic welcome; to the members of tho Automobile Club and Motor Reserve; private car owners and taxi-cab owners, who so generously conveyed the men to and from tho Town Hall; to' tho largo number of ladies who so kindly assisted in tho Town Hall; and also to the ladies of the St. John Ambulance Association for the" help rendered to the wounded men; and to the Police for their assistanco on- the occasion.
