POSITION AT GISBORNE

' GISBORNE, 7th April. A fourteen-months_ old child was admitted to the isolation hospital a week ago from Repongaere, and died this morning. This is the sixth death since the epidemic broke out. A Native girl, eight years of age, from Muriwai, has been admitted to the hospital; also a Native boy, eleven years of age, from Tolaga Bay. So far, seven of the patients have been discharged, the majority having been cured, whilst some will require to have massage treatment.

INYERCARGILL, 7th April. The death ,of the woman suffering from infantile paralysis at Otautau is reported to-night.
