GISBORNE RAILWAY
PROTEST AGAINST STOPPAGE OF WORK.

GISBORNE, 31st March
Work on the Gisborne rail-way has been practically suspended for some time, but the plant is now being shipped to the Whangarei section. The district is protesting that if the Government hss money to spend on railway construction, the local lines should be pushed ahead equally with others.
