LONDON, 31st.March. The Bank of England return issued for the week ended Wednesday, 29th March, is as under : —
Coin, £55,718,000 (£55,092,000); reserve, '£41,534,000 (£41,516,000); note circulation, £33,577,000 (£32,904,000); public deposits. £57,064,000 (£56,216,000); other deposits, £87,362,000 (£90,126,000): Government securities, £32,859,000 (£52,839,000); other securities, 88,350,000 (£90,274,000); proportion of reserve to liabilities, 28.75 (28.35). Short loans are quoted at 4-J per cent. Hi per cent.); three months' bills, 4f per cent. (5 1-16 per cent.). Imperial Consols, £57 5s (£57 ss). GOVERNMENT SECURITIES.

Oats aro in better demand. La Plata, on passage, 27s 6d. Peas and beans are inactive and unchanged. \ Butter.—Danish is dull at 170s to 1725; colonial is steady. Australian, none offering; choicest New Zealand, 162s to 1645. Cheese is firm. New Zealand, 103s to 104s. Sugar is unchanged. METAL MARKET. Copper.—On spot, £112 15s per ton; forward delivery, £111. Tin.—Forward delivery, £194 10s per ton. Pigiron, 89s 3d por ton. Load.—Soft foreign, £34 17s 6d to £35 2s 6/1 per ton. Silver. —Bar silver is quoted at 27 3-16 d per ounce standard. , BRADFORD TOPS. Tho Bradford market for top-making wools is quiet. Prices for tops on the spot are as follow: 64's quality 42£ d por Ib, 60's super 41yd, 60's common 40£ d, 56's 37d. 50"s 31id, 46's 28£ d, 40's 26£ d. Bradford buyers will not accept tho importers' concession of free storage for seven days for purchases made at third scries, and ."ourteen days on prompt cash deals.
