SAILERS AT AUCKLAND

The presence of no ,fewer than four oversea sailing vessels in port at Aupkland indicates, remarks a northern exchange, that owners, of these craft are not slow to take advantage of the shortage of steamers.- The vessels referred to are the four-masted schooner Alert, which brought a large cargo of timber from Puget .Sound, the barque Mananui, with general cargo from Newcastle, the barque Activ, and the bar■quentine Lin'dstol, both'loading for Sydney.
