NO NEWS OF CTESIPHON ACTION. QUIET-IN BEAR OF BELIEF . FORCES. LONDON, 19th January. ' Speaking in the House of Commons, Mr. Austen Chamberlain (Secretary of State for India) said that ho had rot received any despatch covering a recent battle at Ctesiphon. The district befctween General Aylmer's forces and the Persian Gulf was tranquil. He had no information as to the co-op-eration of the British and Russian forces in Persia.
