TAINUI ARRIVES FROM LONDON

The Shaw-Savill steamer Tainui, which arrived in the stream from London, via the usual ports, early yesterday afternoon, berthed shortly after 3 o'clock at the King's Wharf, where slio commenced to disembark passengers, discharge mails and periodicals, and take in bunker coal. Leaving London on the Ist December, the Tainui arrived at TenerifTe ou the Bth, and sailed the following day for Capetown. She reached the .South African port on the 2oth December, sailed again the following day. and arrived at Hobart on the 14fch inst. The final stage of the journey was commenced on the 10th January. The Tainui sailed shortly before 6 o'clock this morning for Auckland, where she commences discharge of, her cargo. She returns to Wellington towards the end of the month
