WORK OF THE BOARD

When the Defence Department hands over the recruiting business to the Recruiting Board, said the Prime Minister to-day, it would do so with every obligation fulfilled; the 11th and the 12th drafts were now quite filled. Draft circular letters for sending to local bodies, members of Parliament, and other recruiting agents are being prepared and will be circulated in a day or two. The alphabetical lists of men oi military age in every recruiting district would be sent on as soon as they were ready. Local bodies all over the Dominion had written offering to assist as soon as the Government was ready to go on with the scheme.
