TO IHB EDITOR. Sir.—May I call your attention to the fact that several young men of splendid physique, who are under the military age of 20 years, are now in training at Trentham. and May Morn Camps. Now, sir, this state of affairs is, to my mind, very unfair to myself and others who are . also under military age, but who have tried to get ..away with the forces. These young men now in camp perhaps have no person .or persons to come up at the last' moment with their birth certificate to prove their age to the miliary authorities, as was my, lot. I know of many cases where youths of 18 and 19 years have been passed as medically fit and have been sent into ' camp. Of course, this is all right for them, but what about us poor beggars who are just as eager to get away, but cannot. Now, sir, in closing, I .should suggest that every recruit be compelled to show his birth certificate, and it will be fair to all of .us. Thanking you in anticipation.—l am, etc.,
