WELLINGTON SLUMS
.TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —A few weeks ago I noticed the police made a . clearance of the undesirables from the streets ol this city. I think now is the time to mane a start to clean our city up a bit, and make war on the slums. If the hea-Jth officers will make a start, and our city councillors will get busy, I am sure that we will be able to rid the city of the slums that do exist. Hoping to see a start made soon.—l am, etc., ■ EXERT. Wellington, 17th January.
