TO-DAY'S PLAY.

Bowlers are to be congratulated on ,tho weather which has prevailed since the New Year tournament started. Certainly it was blustery on New Year's Day. but Monday was as good as could possibly be expected—the greens ran fast and true; and the shower last night put a grip' into the lawns to-day that was greatly appreciated. In tho published reports of the fifth round it was made to appear'that Foy beat Davison; as a matter of fact, Davison beat Foy. Tho mistake arose through negligence of the skips in signing the cards.
