BREACH OF WAR REGULATIONS
A CHANGE OF NAMES.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. In the Magistrate's Court judgment was given in the adjourned cases of Max Adolph Hartmont (formerly Hirschung) and Richard Charles Vernon (formerly Richard Carl Zimmerman), charged with a breach of the War Regulations Act inthat they, being for the purposes of the Act alien enemies, did change their names contrary to the regulations. Mr. Bishop, S.M., was assured that the change of name by the defendants was not made with any ulterior motive. Each defendant was fined 40s and costs.
