WESTMEATH TO LOAD WOOL The F. and S. liner Westmeath was to have left Port Pirie yesterday for New Zealand. She will proceed to Tokomaru l>n\-, Gisborne, Napier, and Lyttelton, to load wool, and t'len come on to Wellington, where she is due about the Sth January. She will sail, probably on the following day, for Boston, U.S.A. MANA REAPPEARS After a lengthy absence from this port during which time she has been laid up at I'atea the steumer Mana arrived in Wellington yesterday morning. She went round to the Slip shortly after in order to receive a thorough overhaul prior to re-entering the Wellington-' Patea service KAURI DUB TO-MORROW The Union Company's steamer Kauri was floated out of the Lyttelton dock yesterday, and is loading a quantity of wool. " She win leave this evening for Wellington and Napier, and sails from New Zealand waters towards the end of the month for San Francisco TAKAPUNA'S OVERHAUL ' The steamer Takapuna shifted her berth from the Wool Jetty to Clyde-quay Wharf on Thursday 'or. the purpose of fitting a new iV. She has a quantity of cargo to put out here and will sail on Monday for Lyttelton to complete discharge. . Prom Lyttelton the Ashburton goes on to Melbourne and Sydney, and will subsequently return to New Zealand in order to load for London HOUTO : FOR HOKIANGA' A favourable wind having sprung up, the auxiliary scow Houto set sail for Hokianga at 7.45 o'clock this morning. She will return to port in about three weeks' time with a load of timber CENTURY'S JPROGRAMME Concerning their chartered steamer Century the New Zealand Shipping Compffny has now been advised that the vessel is expected to' leave Melbourne to-day for Auckland, instead of direct for Wellington, as originally intended. She will commence Homeward loading at Auckland, and will subsequently, proceed to Tokoinaru Bay, Cisborne, Napier, and Wellington. She sails from here finally for London about the Dth January WIRELESS FROM CORINTHIC A radiogram received to-day advises that the Corintbic, from London, via ports, is expected to reach Wellington at noon to-mor-row. The vessel will berth merely to put out passengers, mails, and periodicals, and will proceed to Auckland—her first disefiarging port—on Monday. 'She later returns to put out her .Wellington cargo. The Melbourne Steamship Company's steamer Melbourne arrived at Nelson yesterday from Newcastle coal-laden. She wifl subsequently proceed to Lyttelton to complete discharge" The Defender is not expected here now from Lyttelton until Tuesday.
