GRADUATES CONFER
The annual meeting of the Victoria University College Court of Convocation was hfild last night, about fifteen members being present. Mr. T. E. Fleming was re-elected chairman. The greater part of the evening was taken up with a discussion on the proposals o£ the Board of Studies with regard to the science and arts degree courses. The recommendation that outside examinations for the degrees, be abolished was adopted, and it was further msolved thai education be placed on an equal footing with other subjects for a degree. A .hearty voie of thanks was accorded tho Hon. A. L. Herdman for his services as representative of the convocation on the Victoria College Council.
