Maitai in port from Sun Francisco, via Papeete and Karotonga. late to-night, is of special interest, by reason of the fact that the Maitai inaugurates the two-steam-er service. That is to say, in future the Maitai and Moana will alone maintain this importto owing to tiic Manama's conversion into a hospital ship for service abroad. In order to save time the Mnitai and Moana will not continue on to Sydney from Wellington, but will make the latter their terminal port, and proceed from here on the return trip to San FranA radio message from the Maitai advises that the vessel is encountering heavy southerly weather, which would account for her delay.
