PLACES OF ENGAGEMENT.

The Waterside Workers' Union on Wednesday and Thursday took a ballot of members to ascertain the feeling with regard to the proposal U> revert from the present places of engagement to the use of the "donkey-room" as before the strike. The votes recorded were not numerous, 195 for the "donkey-room" and 77 for the present places, showing a majority of 118 votes in favour of reversion to the pre-strike system.
